The American Idol Mania
Coming from a country where all sorts of reality-based TV shows and competitions are a part of everyday viewing, I am not already surprised when the contestants, whether they lose or bring home the bacon, become popular after the show or completion is through. The contestants become instant showbiz personalities and have fans of their own. And I think this is not only a phenomenon in my country because even with the international reality-based competitions such as the American Idol.
The first time American Idol started inviting singers across the United States to join their competition, the show became an instant hit. Add to this the chemistry of their three judges and the unchanged way of how they actually rate each aspirant’s performance. Quite intriguing right? But when you try acting as a judge, you’ll find yourself giving almost the same comments as them. And maybe this is the reason why after all the many seasons that this competition has aired, Season 7 being the last, they are still being patronized by the millions of household in and out of America; regardless of who the contestant is. And this is also what made the recently concluded Season 7, and David Cook, a big hit.

"You'll never be lonely if you learn to befriend yourself." A very nice and inspiring quote right? It has deep meanings embedded to it. I mane with all the sayings that I’ve come across within the past few days, this one really struck me. Especially when I learned who made this quote popular these days. And this is no other than the 17-year old David Archuleta of American Idol.
It was only a couple of months when this young man invaded the stages of the popular singing competition and since then, he made history. Imagine, at his very young age, he has won the hearts not only of the thousands of people watching the show, but more importantly of the three judges. And if you look at it closely, you’ll see that the reason behind his popularity and success is simple. He stays humble, soft spoken and thankful first to the Lord then to his family, to the judges, then to his fans. This is of course despite the fact that he is considered to be one of the best singers of his batch. And the testimonials of Randy, Paula and Simon for him and his performances can strongly attest to this.

David Cook wins the American Idol 2008
At last the last American Idol standing, the grand champion for this years supremacy as being the best and the one that outshined thousands of different people, Mr. David Cook.
I really knew it was going to be him after all, the all good natural voice and the high notes that he seemed to perform even better, making it cool as though the songs that he’s singing is really easy to hit but when we try it ourselves it really is not that possible. Plus with the talent on guitars that he also has, I could already see it, he would be rubbing shoulders with Chris Daughtry, imagine the blending of these two American Idol voices in a concert, a rock concert that would definitely be big because of the many fans all over the world that have supported them right from the start.
It’s been long since they’ve really done a nice concert and I bet that David Cook can really make a big difference in the rock scene that we have today, an emo-rock singer that sure has a long way to go in fulfilling his dreams, the fame that he would even make bigger as time would permit him.
So for those David Cook fans out there, keep rockin!

Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band was a massive hit for the Beatles, it was there 8th album to be released and was said to be the most influential album of its time. In the year 2003 the Rolling Stones did a "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band came in at number 1.
It took the Beatles a 129 day period with around 700 hours work to record the album from start to finish which began on the 6th December 1966 and was officially released in the UK on 1st June 1967 and 3rd June 1967 in the USA.
