Support Chat – LiveHuman.com

October 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

One best thing about an ecommerce site is when the owner can answer a customer’s query in an instant. I am talking about support chat. Do you know that having a real time chat on your website can add up on your website’s sales? Online buyers, scrutinize the products before they actually purchase it. The reason behind this is that, online shopping is as easy as one click of the mouse, but once there is a problem with the product that has been purchased; the time and effort spent on returning it can actually get on your nerves. That is why having a support chat can ease up this difficulty and therefore can easily convince your site’s buyer to go and purchase your products.

I have seen several live chat in big ecommerce sites. But some of these chat services impressed me. I think not all of them are spontaneous in delivering an instant communication within their customers. Not only that, some of them is on and off. Meaning you have to wait until their systems are working – not so dependable and wise.

May 9th, 2007 · 4 Comments

I logged in to my Yahoo! Messenger and this window popped out.

yahoo messenger

Yahoo is introducing Yahoo! Messenger for the Web (beta) which has a great feature I’ve been waiting. You can now save your message history to Yahoo’s servers which mean you can access your IM conversation history from any place. Pretty neat huh. :)

Camfrog 1.3 offers free video conferencing for Mac and Windows

March 11th, 2007 · 4 Comments

camfrogCamshare, LLC has recently released Camfrog 1.3, a video conferencing software which enables Mac and Windows users to start and participate in large multi-user audio/video conferences.

With Camfrog you don’t need expensive video conferencing equipment like Polycom to start a video conference. Camfrog works behind firewalls, wireless networks, and routers, using live streaming audio and video with live webcam user directory to make it easier for users to meet new people. Users with a fast connection like broadband internet connections — such as DSL or cable internet, can host their own multi-user videoconference for free.

Camfrog requires either Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2003 server, Windows 2000, Mac OS X. I’m afraid it wont run on older Operating Systems like Windows 95, 98, ME, or 3.1. :)

MSN Emoticons for Windows Messenger

March 11th, 2007 · 3 Comments

One thing I don’t like about chatting online is that you can’t actually tell what your chat mate is really feeling. That’s why chat applications like Yahoo! Messenger or Yahoo! Web Messenger and MSN / Windows Live Messenger provide chatters a way to express their feelings through images called emoticons. There are numerous sites out there where you can download emoticons for free. I use Windows Messenger most of the time because most of my friend use it. We usually get bored with all the default images and emoticons installed, so i recommend you get your free MSN emoticons from www.aim-smileys.net. You can get thousands of free emoticons from there.
