What’s annoying about laptops on ebay is when they’re advertised for $1. If no one else bids then you won’t be getting a bargain. The seller always pulls out (they won’t sell below cost for obvious reasons).
It’s annoying because there was an expectation that the laptop could be bought at a bargain price (whether $1 or $100).
A fairer system would be if they started bidding at their cost price.
