The Tower of Pisa, more known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower that has leaned southeast due to poor foundation. It is situated on top of a cathedral in Pisa – an Italian city.
It was recorded by Guinness World records as the world’s most tilted tower. But now, the record was snatched by a 13th century church steeple in Suurhusen, Germany. The leaning Tower of Pisa tilts at a 3.97-degree while the German church tilts at a 5.07 degree angle. This difference in tilting is said to be evident in pictures.
It has been officially announced by Guinness World records’ head - Olaf Kuchenbecker to Reuters. It will appear on next year’s records.
On a lighter side, the Leaning Tower Of Pisa is still glamorous and eye-catching compared to the Suurhusen Church. The title may have been snatched but still, the tower will still stand, I mean tilt the most glamorous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Hmm..that one sounds good. I guess Italians should ask Guinness people to record them as the most glamorous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
