For Senator Fred Thompson (Tenn., USA) has finally decided to join the US presidential race as a Republican. He appeared Easter time Wednesday evening on a taping for a Television show called “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” where he said, “I’m running for president of the United States.” The show will be aired on NBC later in the evening.
On a night when the other Republican presidential candidates were debating in New Hampshire, “Law & Order” star and former senator Fred Thompson joined Jay Leno on the “Tonight Show” to launch his 2008 campaign.

Fred Thompson announcing he’s running is interesting. He goes on Leno rather than going to the debate…maybe this will be the election when the Internet really comes into play. If anyone from Thompson’s campaign is reading this, let him know we want to run his SMO campaign:
