Safeway Homes
I guess every family would love to have their own house someday instead of just renting a room or an apartment. Not just a house but a safe place to live with whenever natural calamities especially storms or hurricanes occur. It’s good to know that there are companies like Safeway Homes that build quality but affordable houses. The company has also been featured on Discovery Channel’s “Extreme Engineering”.
Take a look at some of the features that Safeway Homes offers.
- On-slab construction as well as conventional foundation or pilings
- Integrated cable lifting system for ease of setting
- Tie-downs and construction to withstand 150 mph wind load
- Roof-cap system to make the home weather tight in only a few hours
Safeway Homes are also built with energy efficiency in mind, which means a house is built to save energy thus saving more money from utility bills.

It’s a shame that such an ambitous design coudn’t be topped off with a self contained energy package like solar panels that were built into the already great idea! Wow, a safe house, that you rarely had to pay an electric bill, and contributed to a greener world!??? I can dream, can’t I?
