iPhone has a $250 - $300 Million Opening Weekend

The long awaited Apple iPhone is set to have $250 - $300 million turnover in the very first weekend of sales. Each phone will be selling for around $500 to $600 depending on the features and upgrades available.

It’s estimated that the overall profit for that time span will be set at a 20-50% margin therefore profit being an amazing $50 to $150 million – not bad for one weekend is it? The phone itself has some of the latest features which will grab the attention of those gadget geeks from having an 8GB flash memory and loads of additional accessories available to strengthen the iPhone power compared to its competitors. The iPhone is not just a mobile but also a great media player compared to other music or mp3 players. The battery alone can last up to a shocking 250 hours in standby and have constant audio playback for 24 hours!

Inside the box you get the actual phone and all the necessary equipment you need to connect it to your pc and start sticking your favourite music on there as well as a handy cloth to keep the screen nice and clean.

  • It looks like the iPhone had a very successful launch weekend. I’m waiting for the second generation with 3G support and a bigger flash drive. Then I’ll be purchasing an iPhone for myself.

  • Looks like another big hit for Apple, no real surprise there, considering the success of their iPods. I am glad that the battery life ended up being much longer than was predicted, since similar phones tend to have very short battery life (

  • Thanks for the post. I personally won’t be buying an iPhone until it is released in Australia, and when you get more space for less money.
