Sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts club band was a massive hit for the Beatles, it was there 8th album to be released and was said to be the most influential album of its time. In the year 2003 the Rolling Stones did a “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time” and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band came in at number 1.
It took the Beatles a 129 day period with around 700 hours work to record the album from start to finish which began on the 6th December 1966 and was officially released in the UK on 1st June 1967 and 3rd June 1967 in the USA.
The Beatles where an English rock band consisting of 4 men from Liverpool, the members John Lennon (vocals and rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (vocals and bass guitar), George Harrison (lead guitar and vocals) and last but not least Ringo Star (drums and vocals) were awarded the ‘best selling music act of all time’ in the USA.
Sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts club band was the very first album by the Beatles which had the exact same listing for the UK version and the USA version although the USA release didn’t include the inner grove sound effects. The album consisted of 13 tracks, 7 on side one and 6 on side two. Some of the tracks include the famous ‘Lovely Rita’, ‘Sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts club band’, ‘She’s leaving home’ and more. Its amazing how these tracks are over 40 years old but still have what it takes to get us moving today!

Uh…in the first paragraph, I think you mean ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine, not ‘The Rolling Stones’!
