Writing for the web is a lot more different than the usual writing. This is because because you dont just writh for your readers but for the search engines as well. Copywriting doesn’t have to be an exercise in frustration, but often it is, especially for the web. Even if you’re a writer, catering to the special considerations of the web can be a trying experience. Try these three steps to make your job easier.
- What is the subject? Before starting to write it is very important that you know your subject well, or at least research it. If for example your main field of expertise is about banking and you are asked to write 500 words of copy on real estate, you will need to do a research. Because of the internet, this can be easy, but you have to be sure about your sources.
- Use simple language. If you use a lot of jargon words, people might get disinterested and will tune you out. Keep the language simple and assume you are talking to an audience unfamiliar with your work unless it is targeted solely for your profession. This involves knowing your audience.
- SEO writing. This is the most importan part in writing for the web. SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a great way to get your copy noticed by potential customers through the search engines. SEO writing basically involves using keywords and phrases related to your topic and incorporating then in to you writing. Choose the right keywords through your customers. What do you think your customers will search and what particular keywords or phrases will they use.
If you want to learn more about copywriting, there are great resources on the internet like Dan Lok’s online copywriter’s blog.

With a computer printer sitting on most office desks – both at home and at the office – most users have come to understand the role of the printer toner. But, in most cases, the extent of our knowledge is limited to knowing when and how the printer toner cartridge must be changed. And change it we do, without having any real understanding of how it functions within our printer.
Printer toner contains the ink – whether in liquid or powder form – that allows our computer documents to come to life so that we may hold them in our hand. When we choose the print option from our computer, a signal is sent to the printer, and ink – of all necessary colors – is released onto our papers reproducing exactly the document we constructed on our computer.
Each printer comes equipped with compatible printer toner. Depending on the volume with which we print, the printer toner will have to be changed periodically or more frequently. In this case, we purchase replacement printer toner – which in many a case can be an expensive proposition.

The idea behind clearing your browser’s cache is simple, cache equates to space and every computer needs as much space as physically possible in order to operate at its optimum performance. Speed is the key to the kind of computer human relationship that prevents irritation. Clearing your browser’s cache is straightforward and should be carried out regularly.
How straightforward is clearing your browser’s cache? This example uses Explorer 6 to describe how to clear a cache but anticipate that the majority of browsers will follow the same processes.

Reading from my collection of pc magazines I learned some useful searches that can be done to help you locate files. You can search by using the tab on the start menu. Then you can pick whether you want to search by file name, type of file, date of the file, by keywords within the file, or by the size of the file. There are numerous ways to find a specific document or file you need.
Some symbols can help you search easier. Use the wildcard symbols * and ? To help specify what you need. The * also ca be used to look for certain types of files. If you want all wma files, then search for *.wma. ? replaces any character in the file name. For example, if you are searching for files on Zimbabwe, but are unsure of how to spell it, you could type in Zimbab??.
You can use expressions to help you locate information. You could use “File 1″ and “File 2″ to search for different files. Type in “File 1″ “File 2″ to look for 1 or 2. If you type in “File 1″-”File2″, you will search for File 1 and not File 2.
Local hard drives are defined as all the hard drives found on the machine. Using X:/ simply tell which drive to look on for search. For a specific folder, click on Browse and choose which folder you want.

Prior to web analytics or website analysis, one of the most important part in search engine optimization is building links or simply backlinks for your website. I think it’s the single most important thing you need to do if you want to rank well with the search engines especially with Google.
When I joined the first and second Philippine SEO contest in which I won both the first prize, I learned a lot about link building but I was new back then. Although I was a fast learner, I didn’t consider myself as an expert. I remember reading Aaron’s SEOBook which I bought through a friend. It taught me a lot about the fundamentals of search engine optimization and the search engines. I learned that in building links it’s very important that it should appear to search engines as natural as possible. This means that you should get links from different sites which are related and not related to your site’s theme. But you should get more links from related sites. It’s also important that you use different anchor text variations.

As a SEO, link builder or whatever you might want to call it, I usually start building links and traffic for my blog through article submission, directory submission, joining forums related to my theme, exchanging links with fellow bloggers, and submitting articles or blogpost to social bookmarking or social networking sites like delicious, digg, myspace and many more. If you are a blogger, you have probably done this type of marketing.
So how do you gain more traffic to your blog? The answer is email marketing. Email marketing has been around for a long time and I think it’s one of the most effective ways to increase traffic. Not just some useless traffic but targeted traffic. I said targeted traffic because most of your visitors are probably subscribers that have the same interest as you are. I found a great site called Zookoda which does the email marketing job for you. I actually learned this from my brother in which he uses Zookoda for his article directory to manage his growing subscribers. Although Zookoda was designed specifically for bloggers, it can also be used with article directories or news sites that needs to update their users or subscribers about their latest articles or news. You can even schedule a broadcast to automatically update your subscribers.
Signing up with Zookoda is very easy and completely free. You can learn more about this great service by visiting www.zookoda.com.

Free image hosting is a growing and popular way of sharing photos and images with friends, family and the world at large.
In its most basic form, image hosting allows you to transfer a photo or image from your digital camera or mobile phone to a special web site which will then give you a unique link to the saved image. You can send this link to your friends or you can even use the link in your own web space, for example a blog post or your MySpace page.
This is a great way to share photos and means you don’t have to go to all the trouble of creating a web site or storing large files yourself. Free image hosting also allows you to post images in blogs, emails, forums, instant messengers and auction websites.

The Sony Ericsson K800i is a great innovation for those who value picture quality. The phone is touted as a high quality alternative to a digital camera, however, there are a few niggles.
First, there is no optical zoom. This is disappointing but the 3.2 mega-pixel camera, full autofocus, built-in xenon flash and image and video stabilizer are enough to make any photo enthusiast still get excited and there is still digital zoom for those that need it. As mobile phones go, this is easily one of the best imaging phones around.
A good plus is the use of tri-band which means you will see a great decrease in missed calls wherever in the world you are. This makes the phone great for camping, or other applications that will make you lose service because of remote distance. You also get a rather good battery life, up to 7 hours of talking time. This is great for those who can’t always charge their battery, again superb for campers and other activities away from a normal power point.
Bluetooth, FM radio, and other new features this phone takes advantage of, all help to make this a better than average mobile phone. Although there is a healthy amount of storage already in use, about 64 megabytes, you can expand the memory through an expansion bay. This can be handy for those who like to save videos and pictures and don’t always have time to get to a computer to save them.
Overall, this mobile phone is great for pretty much anyone and it’s no surprise it’s one of the best selling mobiles of the year. The long battery life will ensure the mobile phone stays powered; tri-band will make sure you can still contact the rest of the world, and the resolution of the camera will make sure you don’t miss the beauty in any of your pictures. Definitely recommended.

Article submission is a great resource for increasing traffic to your website and also getting one way links back to your site. There are a lot of article directories on the web that accept articles for a variety of categories. It is important however, to pick a category that directly relates to the content of your website. This is an effective marketing method referred to as targeting visitors to your web site.
It is also important to understand when submitting your articles, that a massive amount of articles are submitted to popular article sites and directories. For this reason, only some of the articles that are submitted actually generate a significant amount of traffic to their respective websites. The most important question to ask yourself is: what unique information can I provide that will be of the most value to my readers?

Website directories is a list of sites designed by different categorizes. The category is determined by relevant to both your site and the directory as well as by the directory offerings and the sites that you link to. The relevancy is increasingly playing a larger role in the success of the web pages from the content to categories of the sites.
One of the most important steps to creating a web directory for your site is to decide on the category that you are going to be using. This in essential because the cater gory provides the key words and keyword phrases that assist in people locating the sites that best are affiliated with there search.
The exact topic needs to be researched and reviewed to determine what category it will fall into in the directory. In the case of some directories you will want to use broad topics first then break the topic down until you find the perfect cater gory for your site.
