When you try to check your backlinks in MSN or Live.com using the command link: or linkdomain: you might notice a blank page with no results. I posted about this at DP Forums five days ago and learned from one the replies that it was intentional. According to Live Search’s Weblog, they have intentionally turned this functionality off because of illegal queries.
We are flattered, but…
For those of you who use some of the advanced query syntax in our search engine such as link:, linkdomain: and inurl:, you may have noticed that this functionality has been recently turned off. We have been seeing broad use of these features by legitimate users but unfortunately also what appears to be mass automated usage for data mining. So for now, we have made the tough call to block all queries with these operators.
We are doing our best to get this back online as soon as possible in a manner that allows folks that use this functionality for real queries. We have a few good ideas up our sleeve on how to enable this, but want to make sure we are making the right changes that will give you the functionality you want and all of our customers the experience they deserve. Our apologies and thank you for being patient. Keep an eye on our blog for updates.

I really hope they fix it soon.

1. Ask Questions - Including specific questions in posts definitely helps get higher numbers of comments. I find that when I include questions in my headings that it is a particularly effective way of getting a response from readers as you set a question in their mind from the first moments of your post.
2. Invite Comments - I notice that when I specifically invite comments that people leave them in higher numbers than when I don’t. To some degree this confuses me as most of my readers know that they can leave comments on any post - but I guess inviting a comment triggers a response to some extent. Also keep in mind that new readers that are unfamiliar with blogging don’t always know about comments or how to use them - invitations to participate in well laid out and easy to use comments systems are good for helping them participate.
3. Interact with comments left - If you’re not willing to use your own comments section why would your readers? If someone leaves a comment interact with them. This gets harder as your blog grows but it’s particularly important in the early days of your blog as it shows your readers that their comments are valued, it creates a culture of interactivity and gives the impression to other readers that your comments section is an active place that you as the blogger value. As the activity in your comments section grows you may find you need to be slightly less active in it as readers will start to take over on answering questions and creating community - however don’t completely ignore your comment threads.

WarCraft is a strategy-based real time game based on a fictional setting. The primary objective of the game is to totally destroy the enemy’s base camp by attacking it with your forces. Many players enjoy the game because the story line is outstanding and the graphic is excellent. Even the characters and their abilities add excitement to the game. If you have not yet been hooked by the game, consider giving Warcraft a try. It will hone your planning and strategy making skills and you may even be able find new acquaintances through online gaming. If you are not sure about playing well, here are a few WarCraft tips and strategies to help you get an edge and win in the game:
Make the economy your priority. In the real world a country needs resources to finance its growth, attacking capabilities, and defense. The same is true in War Craft. You need to have ample resources so you can build units and buildings, and get upgrades. The first thing you must do to improve your resources is to gather gold from mines and lumber from trees.
Create a small army for defense. While yours is still a primary town, you may want to create a primary offense/defense unit like Knights (Human), Ghouls (Undead), Grunts (Orcs), and Archers (Night Elf). You may create 4-8 units as your initial defense. You may also want to use these units to kill creeps or AI controlled monsters found on selected places within every map to earn gold and several items for your heroes to use.

Search engine optimization is the process of making your web site more accessible for the search engines. When you do this, you are making it easier for people to find you when they use search engines to search for information. Each individual search engine uses complicated mathematical formulas called algorithms to determine how web sites are ranked.
There are also differences in each search engine that you need to take into account when you are optimizing your web site. Search engine optimization is one of the most effective online marketing tools if done correctly and monitored frequently.
Search Engine Basics
When people use search engines, they usually believe that they are searching the web for information. This is not quite true. When you use a search engine to find information, you are actually searching the engine’s database of indexed content. Search engines can be human, where actual people index content.
