I know it’s not going to happen but what happens when every website has “nofollow” tag for every external links? Will search engines index websites still?
It’s just something I have in mind to ponder upon. 
What happens when search engines got NO site to FOLLOW?

probably the search engine can still crawl the site but can’t pass link juice ?
