Members of the SEO Philippines together with all the search engine marketers and like-minded persons who attended the much awaited SEO Philippines BeerCon 2006, the launch party for the next Philippine SEO contest which was held last night, was lucky to be among the first to learn about the next contest keyword. I just found out earlier that the keyword will be "ituloy angsulong", which basically means to continue what we've started with the First Philipine SEO contest, and that is to promote search engine optimization/search engine marketing education and awareness in the country. The contest boasts a whopping 300,000Php initial cash pot which is far bigger the the first one. That will surely get the fire started.

One of the highlights of this event was the introduction of our very own Aileen Apolo, Google Philippines Country Consultant and was also the keynote speaker. I've heard that Google has future plans to expand their services here in the Philippines. That would be great! We'll see.

Although the final rules and mechanics for the contest hasn’t been revealed yet, most of the keyword-rich domain for "ituloy angsulong" were already taken. So lets all just wait for updates.
